The Evolution of Speedy Sunsets
Launching in May 2025, Speedy Sunsets began as a vibrant rooftop bar experience that quickly redefined Wilmington’s summer music scene. (Dive into the atmosphere of the inaugural event here).
The momentum from that explosive first season propelled Speedy Records and its roster of DJs to new heights, paving the way for massive club appearances and venue partnerships during Miami Music Week 2026. Now, returning to its hometown roots, the label is bringing the series back with an evolved, highly curated vision for the summer.
What to Expect at Speedy Sunsets 2026
For Summer 2026, the atmosphere is shifting. Moving away from the rooftops of last year, Speedy Sunsets is plunging into the intimate, speakeasy-style elegance of Torbert Street Social.
Running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, attendees can expect the signature high-energy networking, dancing, and community building that Speedy Records is known for, elevated by an incredible A-Z lineup of regional and local heavyweights:
Jaxx
Joey Furg
Joey G
Kailyn
Rico Ryan
Adding to the visual and immersive experience, local icons the Aurora Dancers will be leading the dance floor throughout the evening.
Calling All Local Vendors: A New Marketplace Experience
This year, Speedy Sunsets is expanding its footprint to champion local businesses. In addition to the bar, dance floor, and networking spaces, the event will host a small vendor marketplace.
Speedy Records is actively calling for unique local brands and creators to join the lineup. This event brings together a highly engaged, energetic demographic of music lovers, creatives, and young professionals. Partnering with Speedy Sunsets provides a prime opportunity for vendors to showcase their products to a captive, lively audience. Light snacks will also be available for all attendees to keep the energy high.
